Accessibility Statement
Last reviewed: August 13, 2026
Misaka Sushi is committed to making our restaurant welcoming to everyone — and that includes our website. We want every guest, including guests with disabilities, to be able to browse our menu, find our hours and location, and get in touch with us easily.
Our Standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard referenced by the U.S. Department of Justice's guidance on web accessibility under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
What We've Done
This website was built with accessibility as a requirement, not an afterthought. Measures we've taken include:
- Every page can be navigated with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator and a "skip to main content" link.
- Meaningful images have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA color-contrast requirements, and information is never conveyed by color alone.
- Pages use semantic HTML landmarks and a logical heading structure so screen-reader users can move around efficiently.
- Forms have visible labels, clear instructions, and error messages that identify the problem in plain text.
- The site works at 200% zoom and on small screens, and respects your device's reduced-motion preference.
- Buttons and links are large enough to tap comfortably.
Keeping It That Way
Accessibility is ongoing work, not a one-time checkbox. When we update our menu or add new content through our content management system, we review it against the same standards — including alt text for newly uploaded photos. We periodically re-test the site with automated tools and manual keyboard and screen-reader checks.
Known Limitations
Online ordering is provided by a third-party service (ChowNow) on their own website, and our social media pages are operated by those platforms. We don't control those experiences, but we're glad to help by phone with anything you'd otherwise do through them.
